    Команда Hyundai Motorsport заняла пятое место на Ралли Аргентины

    • Hyundai Motorsport вошла в первую пятерку на исключительно сложном Ралли Аргентины
    • Дани Сордо стал пятым по итогам прохождения всей дистанции и вторым на спецучастке СУ11 «Эль-Кондор»
    • Тьерри Невилль боролся за четвертое место, но сошел на финальном спецучастке Power Stage

    Hyundai Motorsport завершила выступление на сложнейшем Ралли Аргентины, четвертом этапе Чемпионата мира FIA по ралли 2015 (WRC) в пятерке лучших команд, после двух прохождений драматичного участка «Эль-Кондор».

     

    Дани Сордо (Hyundai i20 WRC №8) занял самое высокое место из всех пилотов Hyundai Motorsport, став пятым и набрав два очка на транслируемом по ТВ финальном спецучастке в воскресенье, 27 апреля. Сордо, выступающий под флагом Hyundai Shell World Rally Team, стал пилотом одного из двух автомобилей Hyundai i20 WRC, сумевших добраться до финиша ралли после схода Тьерри Невилля (Hyundai i20 WRC №7) в самом конце гонки. Как и Сордо, Хайден Пэддон (Hyundai i20 WRC №20) вернулся в гонку после схода в конце соревновательного дня в субботу и занял 16-е место для Hyundai Mobis World Rally Team.

     

    Два автомобиля на финише и пятое место Сордо – это заметное улучшение результата команды на этом суровом ралли по сравнению с прошлым годом, когда до конца гонки смог добраться только один экипаж.

     

    Сордо доблестно сражался весь уикенд. Проблемы с усилителем рулевого управления заставили испанца вместе со штурманом Марком Марти сойти с трассы в пятницу, 24 апреля, а впечатляющее возвращение в субботу было прервано из-за проблем с электрикой на последнем спецучастке дня. Тем не менее, он вернулся в борьбу по регламенту Ралли 2 и показал второе время на СУ11 (Эль-Кондор-Копина, 16,32 км), повторив этот результат на заключительном спецучастке.

     

    Сордо: «Это ралли оказалось очень сложным для всех, и я рад, что мы смогли финишировать здесь и добавить несколько очков в копилку Кубка конструкторов. После разочаровывающего схода в самом начале соревнований, мы вернулись в борьбу на двух участках Эль-Кондор, показав второе время в каждом прохождении. Это позволило набрать несколько очков на шоу-спецучастке, что стало неплохим бонусом. Команда проделала отличную работу в этот уикенд. Иногда у нас возникали проблемы с механикой, но мы показали несколько хороших результатов. Мы должны сохранить положительные эмоции от этой гонки и начать подготовку к следующему этапу - Ралли Португалии».

     

    Начало уикенда для Хайдена Пэддона не сложилось - ему пришлось сойти с дистанции после дневного обслуживания в пятницу и вернуться в гонку в субботу по регламенту Ралли 2. Новозеландец со своим штурманом Джоном Кеннардом показали неплохой темп утром в субботу, два раза оказавшись в первой шестерке, после чего днем произошла авария. Вернувшись в гонку воскресным утром, Пэддон смог справиться с волнением и успешно пройти участок Эль-Кондор, приведя свой Hyundai i20 WRC №20 к финишу.

     

    Пэддон: «Это была сложная гонка, но в целом ничего неожиданного. Во время подготовки мы понимали, что она будет очень непростой для автомобилей. Мы планировали действовать в этот уикенд спокойно и аккуратно, зная о жестких условиях. Однако кое-где просто не везло. Думаю, нам было важно вернуться в гонку в воскресенье просто чтобы снова почувствовать уверенность в себе и сохранить настрой на следующие этапы. Здесь было несколько очень интересных участков, особенно СУ3 в пятницу — по-настоящему захватывающий и быстрый. В целом, Ралли Аргентины — это сложная гонка, которая изрядно отличается от других и прекрасно отражает саму суть Чемпионата мира по ралли».

     

    Невилль со своим штурманов Николя Жилсулом вели жесткую борьбу весь уикенд, потеряв много времени на первом спецучастке в пятницу из-за прокола колеса. Бельгийский экипаж потратил четыре минуты на устранение неисправности, что отбросило их в конец классификации. Однако они смогли вернуться в борьбу, несколько раз попав в первую четверку, что помогло им подняться в общем зачете. Перед воскресным финальным участком Эль-Кондор Невилль занимал уверенное четвертое место, но в начале спецучастка врезался в камень, потерял заднее левое колесо и вышел из борьбы. 

     

    Невилль: «Очень разочаровывающий конец ралли для всей команды. Я допустил ошибку на телевизионном спецучастке, слишком активно атаковав с самого начала. Мне следовало бы сконцентрироваться на закреплении своей позиции, что было наиболее важно с точки зрения турнирной борьбы. Я потерял заднюю часть автомобиля в повороте, который надо было проходить на полной скорости. Мы должны вынести свой урок из этого ралли и вернуться в форму к гонке в Португалии».

    Для команды Hyundai Motorsport это была длинная и сложная гонка по разбитым аргентинским дорогам, которые ставят перед пилотами и автомобилями очень сложные задачи. Команда выступает на Ралли Аргентины всего лишь второй раз, но смогла довольно успешно справиться с обстоятельствами и продемонстрировала очевидный прогресс по сравнению с прошлым годом.

     

    Директор команды Мишель Нандан: «Мы знали, что гонка будет непростой, и именно так и получилось. В течение всех трех дней у нас случались либо технические проблемы, либо аварии, поэтому команде приходилось очень много работать, за что всем отдельное спасибо. В воскресенье нашей задачей было сохранить свои позиции перед началом дня и завоевать очки в Кубке конструкторов. Результат, конечно, оказался не тем, чего мы ждали, но я всегда стараюсь находить положительные стороны. Дани великолепно проехал финальный участок и заработал два очка на шоу-спецучастке, став пятым в общем зачете. Хайден также хорошо ехал утром и показал, что не потерял ни умения, ни уверенности за рулем. Тьерри, конечно, невероятно расстроен из-за своего схода, но он очень хорошо шел. Мы проведем детальный анализ этого уикенда и будем использовать этот опыт для  своего дальнейшего развития».
