    Команда Hyundai Motorsport направляется на средиземноморский остров Сардиния на шестой этап Чемпионата мира FIA по ралли-2015. Тьерри Невилль и Дани Сордо снова выступят в Италии на автомобилях Hyundai i20 WRC №7 и №8, соответственно, а Хайден Пэддон сядет за руль автомобиля №20 команды Hyundai Mobis World Rally Team спустя год после своего дебюта за Hyundai Motorsport в Сардинии. 

     

    Команда Hyundai Motorsport готовилась к Ралли Италии в апреле в Португалии одновременно с подготовкой к Ралли Португалии. На Сардинии новая система подрулевых переключателей скоростей коробки передач, которые уже используется в автомобилях №7 и №8, впервые будет применена в Hyundai i20 WRC №20 под управлением Хайдена Пэддона. 

     

    Итальянская гонка изначально проходила в Сан-Ремо и называлась «Ралли цветов» (Rallye dei Fiori), которое впервые состоялось в 1928 году. Этот этап вошел в программу WRC с первого года проведения чемпионата в 1973 году и затем, в 2004 году, переехала на Сардинию. Ралли Италии в Сардинии знаменито сочетанием различных ландшафтов.

     

    Скоростные, но узкие дороги окружены деревьями и камнями, которые не дают пилотам расслабиться ни на секунду. Как правило, твердые дороги покрыты песком и гравием, которые счищаются после первого заезда, что делает их прохождение особенно сложным для первых участников. На выбор доступна жесткая и мягкая резина, и правильный ее выбор станет решающим фактором успеха. Температура в середине июня может превышать 30°C, вызывая дополнительный дискомфорт для экипажей и нагрузку для двигателей и трансмиссий.

    Ралли Италии в Сардинии включает 24 спецучастка протяженностью 400 км. Ралли начнется уличным спецучастком в южном городе Кальяри вечером в четверг 11 июня, затем гонка переедет в Ористано, где располагаются пятничные участки, ряд из которых не использовался с 2011 года, а другие будут совершенно новыми.

     

    Воскресный марафон включает в общей сложности более 200 км спецучастков, при этом некоторые будут проходить в противоположном направлении по сравнению с прошлым годом, — это самый длинный день в чемпионате WRC с 2012 года. Среди самых зрелищных мест — Прыжок Мики в Монте Лерно и новый спецучасток Озьери-Ардара. Воскресные участки находятся к северу от Альгеро на западном побережье, где второй год будет располагаться сервисный парк, и включают новый сегмент Монте Барана и прибрежную трассу Кала Флумини, где состоится шоу-спецучасток этого уикенда.

     

    Директор команды Мишель Нандан: «Мы серьезно готовились к этой гонке и предельно мотивированы после Португалии, где Дани и Хайден завершили борьбу в первой десятке. Мы многому научились в прошлом году в Сардинии, там же впервые мы заняли первые два места на одном спецучастке и сегодня надеемся показать, что за это время мы добились существенного прогресса. Дороги, наверное, будут похожи на прошлогодние, хотя должно быть немного жарче, поскольку гонка стоит позднее в календаре. У Hyundai i20 WRC на текущий момент девять побед на спецучастках, что вселяет в нас уверенность, что мы сможем побороться с лидерами чемпионата. Тьерри не повезло в Португалии, где его автомобиль перевернулся в субботу утром, поэтому он упорно готовился к Сардинии и приложит все усилия, чтобы снова поймать свойритм. Дани после отличного выступления в Португалии захочет продолжить свой успех. В 2014 году на гонке в Сардинии за Hyundai Motorsport он финишировал 16-м и в 2015 году постарается улучшить результат.

     

    Невилль: «По-моему, в прошлом году мы довольно неплохо здесь стартовали. Но у нас возникли кое-какие проблемы с автомобилем, когда мы шли во главе ралли. Это было довольно обидно, но мы воспользовались хорошим стартовым положением, которое помогло выйти в лидеры. Мы показали ряд хороших результатов и успешно вели борьбу. И в этом году, я уверен, борьба будет очень интересной. Это коварная гонка, требуется пара лет опыта, чтобы начать показывать реально высокие результаты и уверенно чувствовать себя на трассе, поскольку она достаточно узкая, со множеством извилистых и пыльных участков. А из-за скользкого гравия, засыпанного песком, очистка трассы в процессе гонки становится весьма важным фактором».

     

    Дани Сордо сейчас занимает общее седьмое место в чемпионате пилотов, на одно место опережая своего бельгийского партнера по команде, и имеет отличное настроение после выступления в Португалии. Он впервые будет участвовать на Ралли Италии в Сардинии под флагом Hyundai Motorsport и постарается продолжить уверенное выступление в 2015 году. 

    Сордо: «Сардиния — это особенное ралли и очень сложное, поскольку здесь скользкие и узкие трассы с множеством камней по бокам. А еще это ралли, как правило, очень жаркое и совершенно уникальное из-за полной смены поверхности после первого прохода, уровень сцепления здесь меняется очень сильно. Первый заезд более скользкий, чем второй, который оказывается значительно агрессивнее. Совсем не похоже на только что прошедшую гонку в Португалии. Я хочу укрепить свои позиции в зачете пилотов, поэтому приложу все усилия, чтобы пройти все спецучастки до конца и максимально быстро».

     

    Для Хайдена Пэддона Ралли Италии в Сардинии имеет особое значение, поскольку молодой новозеландский гонщик в 2014 году впервые выступил здесь за команду Hyundai Motorsport. С тех пор он постоянно прогрессирует и уверенно идет в сезоне 2015 года, неоднократно финишировав в первой тройке на спецучастках. 

    Пэддон: «Думаю, после той первой для меня гонки много воды утекло — за двенадцать месяцев совместной работы изменился и автомобиль, и я сам, и команда в целом. Я очень рад вернуться сюда и хочу посмотреть, насколько мы стали лучше! Для меня в прошлом году участки в Сардинии показались весьма сложными, но, думаю, частично это было из-за того, что я тогда дебютировал за команду и впервые выступал за рулем Hyundai i20 WRC — это, вероятно, оказало неблагоприятное влияние на результат. Здешние запыленные участки требуют высокого мастерства, они похожи на некоторые места, которые мы видели в Португалии.
